What Can We Expect from Kingdom Hearts 4?

We found out recently that the next major release by Square Enix is going to be Kingdom Hearts 4, and honestly, we couldn’t be more excited! Square Enix is the mastermind behind all the past Kingdom Hearts games and even the Final Fantasy franchise that all of us love so much. Not only that, you would be surprised to know that the Tomb Raider series was also created by Square Enix. 

However, today we will be keeping our focus on Kingdom Hearts and the upcoming part, Kingdom Hearts 4, in specific. If you are a Kingdom Hearts fan like we are, we can already tell that you must be excited to read what’s ahead. So, without any further ado, let’s get started. 

• The Events of Kingdom Hearts 3

First off, we’ll give you a recap of Kingdom Hearts 3 to get you up to speed. Sora and his friends finally come face to face with Master Xehanort so that they can foil his plans of forging the X-Blade. Sora also manages to bring back Terra, Aqua, Ven, and Roxas so that all of them can help him in his battle against Master Xehanort. 

However, as a part of Xehanort’s plan, he kidnaps Kairi as collateral damage so that Sora would face him and the X-Blade could be forged. In the process, Xehanort seemingly “kills” Kairi. After the battle ends, everyone goes back to Destiny Islands and it is shown that Sora has managed to save and bring back Kairi. However, Sora himself disappears in the process and it is unknown where he went and what happened to him. You can catch up with the story by playing Kingdom Hearts 3 again. The best option would be to buy the game from the PlayStation Store whenever it goes on sale. All you would need is a superfast internet connection such as the likes of Xfinity Internet so that you can download the game as quickly as possible to play it!

• Sora Wakes Up in Quadratum

Quadratum is a world that was mentioned in the fictional game “Verum Rex” when you visit the Toy Story world. However, towards the end of the game, it is believed that once people stop existing in the world Sora is in, they migrate to the world of Quadratum, which is where Marluxia’s (Lauriam) sister Strelitzia also ends up after she is struck down by Ventus during the events of Kingdom Hearts Union X while Ven is being controlled by Darkness. 

Strelitzia talks to Sora in the shape of a star, well that is atleastat least at least who we think the nameless star was. However, in the trailer that we got for Kingdom Hearts 4, we see that Sora woke up in Quadratum after disappearing and he is woken up by Strelitzia who also wound up there somehow. We will find out what happens next when the game releases!

• What Will the Game Mechanics Be Like?

So far, we have seen that the parkour is going to return like it was in Kingdom Hearts 3. We can run up walls, buildings, and cliffs like we used to. This will make traversal a lot easier in the game. Not only that, we are also expecting that flowmotion will make a return as well which will help in combat. We just hope Sora won’t be as “floaty” as he was when Kingdom Hearts 3 first came out. 

Another feature that is making a return is the keyblade transformation. We might see the Keyblade turn into different sorts of weapons again as they did in Kingdom Hearts 3. We also noticed something new in the trailer as the Keyblade will now be able to turn into a grappling hook as well, which will allow Sora to travel even longer distances than before. 

• Some Characters May Return

So far, we know that Sora is obviously going to return but along with him, we also know that the Master of Masters will return again as well since his plan hasn’t concluded yet. We also know that Luxu is actually Xigbar so it is very likely that we might see him again too. The Foretellers will make a return as well with the exception ofexcept Ava, Ava might actually help Sora out this time. 

It is very likely that we willWe will likely see Riku too since in one of the ending videos we saw Riku as he made his way to Quadratum as well so that he could find Sora. With so many characters in the mix, we can only wait and see how amazing the game is going to be.

Kingdom Hearts is the kind of video game franchise that has never let us down and we expect the same from Kingdom Hearts 4 as well. Tetsuya Nomura always does his best with the series and we really hope to see the game released soon since honestly, we can’t wait any more!
